Being one of the oldest Himalayan treks, the Valley of Flower trek is among some of the best hikes you can take. If you have been on another Himalayan tour earlier, you must be familiar with this trek. Although people have been hiking here since 1980, the Indian government made a Valley of Flower park in 2002 to attract more tourists. But this trek is not for everyone! It requires a fitness level and an experience of trekking in the past. Moreover, there are steep mountain trails at Hemkund Sahib, which can be challenging. So go on shorter treks before the Valley of Flower trek.

What Is The Best Time To Go On A Valley of Flower Trek?
As the trek is known for extraordinary blossoming flowers, you must go for this trek in July and August to see the valley in its fullest flory. Although most people prefer to go on this trek during the first fifteen days of August, the weather is great after a few fresh pours of rain. The crowd in the starting week of August is not too much and grows as the weekend approaches. So plan your trip accordingly. September is another good time to go for this trek, as you will experience the post-monsoon and flower blooming season. Also, this trek is closed from 31st October to 1st June due to heavy snowfall.
